Dripping Letters

On the occasion of the “Cersaie 2021”, one of the largest construction fairs in the world taking place yearly on Bologna, Italy, I realised a huge murales in collaboration with Studio Fuksas for the stand of La Fabbrica Ceramiche and Ava Ceramic, both belonging to Italcergroup SPA, the sixth Italian industrial group in the sector of ceramic.

I thought of something that could attract attention without overdoing it, elegant and minimal, stylistically consistent with the brands and with the Studio Fuksas, which designed the interior of the stand. I then intended the huge anthracite-coloured walls of the pavilion as if they were huge blackboards on which to write “childish style” the names of the products painted and dripped in bright red: a total of 48 writings distributed over a total area of 244 square metres (2,626 square feet).
