SYNOPSYS
A group of people from Rome and surroundings share experiences of contactism, ufology and cosmic spirituality. They are preparing for a special event, a “skywatching” that will see them gathered together to salute the “cosmic siblings” who are expected to manifest. Will they show? In a counterpoint, the director explores similar themes by meeting priests, scientists, astrophysicists, and Carlo, a special “ET”.

AUTHOR’S NOTE
ALBE has started as an independent project exclusively fueled by a passion shared by Elisa and I for the outer space and the irrepressible desire for escape and knowledge that arouses. Space as a boundless, mysterious, obscure place – perhaps inhabited by other forms of intelligent life – where deep terrestrial themes are relaunched on a cosmic scale. Given the existing filmography on the subject and the vastness of the material available online, we looked for real stories that could tell these themes in a truly original way. Eventually ALBEturned out to be choral research of sidereal tension revolving around the question: “Are we alone in the Universe?”. The protagonists’ names, experiences and events are all authentic. The result is an original mise-en-scène of reality.
